Lilia Ziamou is a Greek and American sculptor based in New York City.

Her work begins with bone, the body’s most enduring form. In her practice, bone is both physical structure and conceptual proposition. Through classical sculptural techniques and technological processes, she reconfigures the bone into body, wound and flesh.

At a time when technology allows us to rebuild what biology once determined, her work reflects on the human desire to remake the body, a desire given new reach through repair, redesign, and reinvention.
