In Boneographies Sculpture, your X-ray, MRI, or CT scan is translated into layers of fabric and silicone, formed and assembled by hand. Through this process, the medical image acquires surface, depth, and weight.
Each Boneographies Sculpture is unique. The process was developed by Lilia Ziamou; in 2025, the International Journal of Surrealism devoted a scholarly essay to this body of work and placed a sculpture from the series on its cover.
